Charity Game & Fundraiser

Our team will play against Arlington in a special charity match. The benefiting charity will be announced soon. We’ll need full community support. We'll prepare baskets and gift certificates for a raffle, and other fundraising activities, such as bake sales, are also planned. Please consider how you can contribute to making this event a success.

The streets will be closed for Spirit Weekend, and Varsity Soccer will be hosting a booth where spirit wear will be on sale—grab your gear and show your team pride! We’re also looking for volunteers to help out at the booth. If you’re available, we’d love to have you join us!

Mandatory activity for all varsity players as the boys give back to the Winchester soccer community by guest coaching the K-2 Winchester soccer boys in their town soccer games.

Winchester High School Boys Soccer tryouts begin this upcoming Monday August 18th. Please read the below information in its entirety to best prepare yourself for the week ahead.
Schedule
Monday 8/18 – Winchester Middle School Turf
12-2pm: Freshmen & Sophomores (Sub-Varsity Player Pool)
2-4pm: Juniors, Seniors, & Returning Varsity Members (Varsity Player Pool)
After Monday’s sessions, some Sophomores and/or Freshmen may be asked to attend the Varsity Player Pool session on Tuesday. All other Freshmen and Sophomores will attend Tuesday’s Sub-Varsity Player Pool Session from 12-2pm.
Tuesday 8/19 – Winchester Middle School Turf
12-2pm: Sub-Varsity Player Pool
2-4pm: Varsity Player Pool
After Tuesday’s 2-4pm session, the Varsity team will be announced. All Juniors, Sophomores, & Freshmen who were not selected for the Varsity Team will be asked to attend Wednesday’s Sub-Varsity Player Pool session.
Wednesday 8/20
2:30-4:30pm: Sub-Varsity Player Pool – Winchester Middle School Turf
After Wednesday’s 2:30-4:30pm session, the Sub-Varsity A and Sub-Varsity B teams will be announced. Sub-Varsity team members have Thursday 8/21 and Friday 8/22 off, no training. First Sub-Varsity training is Monday 8/25.
7-8:30pm: First Varsity Training Session – Winchester High School Turf
Thursday 8/21 & Friday 8/22 – Winchester Middle School Turf
2-4pm: Varsity Team Training

There are 4 potential tryout results for every student …
Varsity Team (28 players will be selected)
Sub-Varsity A Team (22 players will be selected)
Sub-Varsity B Team (22 players will be selected)

Winchester High School Boys Soccer is a very competitive Division 1 program. Each season, we have more students tryout for the boys soccer program than we have roster spots available to offer. Unfortunately, this means there will be students who are not selected for a team.
